Lighthouse pillows are very popular as a finishing accent for your sofa as a finishing touch to a room that has lighthouse decor or nautical setting.You could use a single pillow , two pillows at each end of the sofa or three pillows staggered for a nice effect.

If you have an island kitchen with bar stools,these make a great backrest for each bar stool.You could even place one at the wall end of the bar for some color.

These pillows make great decorative accents for any bare spot in the house including on the beds,a crib,or hallway for a few examples of  places to put them.

Some ladies even take two or three of these lighthouse pillows as an accent at the bottom of a wide staircase for a decorative  touch and to put some color in an otherwise bare spot.

These  pillows have a couple of choices for the edging of them,such as piping which is material wrapped around a cord for a finishing touch. The other edging is called a tufted edge where a line of stitching is sewn about 2 inches in from the edge for a different effect.

Lighthouse pillows with a fade resistant material  are great for the outdoor furniture or an outdoor entryway. Some are prints of original artists drawings transferred to a print for the pillow.Since they will be used outside, a nice coat of scotchguard to preserve them  will be an a good thing to do.

There is a nice selection of regional and state prints are available online such as Northern lighthouses, Mideast region, Southern and West Coast areas. For states, I’ve seen Maine,New York,New Jersey,North and South Carolina pictures printed. These make great conversation pieces when you have company that comes to visit. If you live in one of these areas, it is quite nostalgic to have a lighthouse  pillow from your area.
